Magruder Pointe clears first hurdle as abandoned WSSC HQ rezoned

The abandoned former headquarters of the WSSC. This building was demolished in Summer 2019 to make way for development of homes and townhouses, but the city of Hyattsville and a group of residents have asked the courts to overturn county approvals for the project so far.
Development plans that would demolish an abandoned WSSC headquarters facility in Hyattsville for a mix of detached and townhomes took a big step forward today, as Prince George’s County Council members overwhelmingly approved a controversial rezoning of the property.
