A few things to point out. (1) The sector plan is the County’s not the City’s. (2) Several projects built or soon to be under construction violate one or two elements of the sector plan. (3) The County Planning Board has yet (since 2002) to reject a DSP for any reason whatsoever in the corridor.
The County Planning Board has approved a bank with drive through (though never built); various one-story buildings; a building which faces a side street and not Baltimore Avenue.
With the exception of the bank (proposed about 2005), the City Council supported all other projects that had such issues.
